Lanny Ridgeway, Sr.,

Lanny Ervin Ridgeway, Sr. age 70 of Taylorsville, passed away unexpectedly in his residence on Monday, December 24, 2012.  Born to the late Otis and Elizabeth (McWhorter) Ridgeway in Greenville, SC he had once served as the Hospital Administrator for Alexander County Hospital.  As a member of First Baptist Church-Taylorsville, he loved singing in the choir and was also a member of the Singing Seniors.  Lanny was an ordained minister. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his wife Linda Ridgeway; one daughter Deborah Elmore and husband Larry; one son Lanny “Pat” Ridgeway, Jr. and wife (Jewell); one grandson Daniel Elmore; step grandchildren include April Teague and Michael Ford.  He also leaves behind one brother Tim Ridgeway and wife Sharon, and one sister Rita Merritt as well as a number of family members.
Visitation will be conducted on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at First Baptist Church-Taylorsville from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.  Funeral Services will begin at 2:30 pm.  with  the burial will follow in the Taylorsville Town Cemetery.
