Larry Dale Fox,

Larry Dale Fox, age 72, of Taylorsville passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born in Alexander County on July 14, 1941 to the late Lester Fox and Eva (Stikeleather) Fox. He worked at Broyhill Furniture for 40 years and the past 7 years worked as a Custodian at Sugarloaf Elementary School. Larry was a member of Concord Baptist Church where he was a usher, sung in the choir and was a former Deacon. He loved spending time with his family, especially rocking his grandbabies. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: David Paul Fox and John LeVan Fox and sister: Helen Fox Hefner. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 47 years, Ruth (Ritchie) Fox; daughter: Beverly Fox Bumgarner and husband Terry; sons: Michael Dale Fox and Gregory Lynn Fox and wife Ashley; grandchildren: Tyler Bumgarner and wife Ashley, Larisa Bumgarner, and Dalas, Gwen, Bryson, and Jacob Fox; brother-in-law: Cloyd Hefner; sister-in-law: Rita Fox; sister-in-law: Ruby Milstead and husband Rayford; along with a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. Service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Concord Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Dyson and Rev. J.D. Grasty officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Russell Wilson, Rick Lackey, Brad Williams, Randy Milstead, Joe Barnes and Jack Morrison. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jacob Burke, Nicholas Dyson, Joshua Williams, Gage Isenhour and Hunter White.
