Larry Eugene Highland,

Larry Eugene Highland age 76, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Gordon Hospice House in Iredell County. Larry was born on December 25, 1938 to his late mother Delores Highland in Wood, West Virginia. He was a member of Mt. Airy Wesleyn Church. Larry served as a pilot in the Airforce. He worked as a contractor in the construction industry. Larry enjoyed watching Jeff Gordon race, traveling, loved building, and spending time with his family. He especially looked forward seeing his grandson.

In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by three brothers William "Bill" Highland Sr., Harry Lee Highland, Donald Highland, and one sister Patty Highland Young.

Larry leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 48 years Dolleta Hudkins Highland, one son Kevin Highland and wife Sharon, one grandson Cameron Highland, all of Stedman, N.C., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

There are no formal arrangements at this time. A celebration of Larry's life will be held at a later date.
