Larry Lloyd Ramsey,

Larry Lloyd Ramsey, age 67, of Hiddenite, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015, at Catawba Regional Hospice.  Mr. Ramsey was the son of the late Lemuel John and Thelma Fox Ramsey. He was born on May 22, 1948 in Alexander County. Larry was employed as a shipping supervisor at Mitchell Gold prior to his retirement and had a love of fishing.

In addition to Mr. Ramsey's parents Larry was preceded in death by brothers; Jerry & Louis Ramsey, sisters; Nancy Ramsey Earlwood,  Carolyn Ramsey Frazier, and one nephew Clifford Harold.

Mr. Ramsey is survived by his wife of 12 years, Linda Kerley Ramsey, brother LJ "John" Ramsey, sister Barbara "Bobbi" Harold & husband Barry, son Garland Lee Ramsey, three step children; Robbie Moretz, Willet Moretz, Angela Moretz Browne, one grandson, ten step grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, brother in law Michal Kerley & wife Sharon, sister in laws; Beth Kelsoe & husband Bert, Jenna Lee Ramsey, mother in law Nancy Daniels, special friends Audrey Pope, Becky & Steve Hoover, & Lucy Smith, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1:30-2:45 pm at Alexander Funeral Service on Thursday, December 17, 2015 with the funeral service following at 3:00 pm in the Alexander Funeral Service Chapel. The Rev. Barry Harold, Jordan Byers, and Rev. Mark Dula will be officiating. Burial will follow at a later date.
