Lewis Edward Bowman,

Lewis Edward Bowman, age 77, of Taylorsville, passed away on Wednesday, August 4th, 2010.  He was born on July 18th, 1933 in Catawba County to parents Sam Wesley and Katherine Elizabeth Marlowe Bowman.  Lewis was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church.  He served in the U.S Army during the Korean War.  He also was employed at the Brushy Mountain Golf Course for over 20 years.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Bowman.  Those that survive him are his son, Tim Bowman; daughter, Pam Bowman – both of Taylorsville; and his brother, Sammy Bowman of Hickory.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 7th, 2010 at Alexander Funeral Service from 4:30-6:30 P.M.  A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Alexander Funeral Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
