Lillian Elizabeth Queen age 90 of Taylorsville passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Gordon Hospice house in Iredell County. She was born to the late Clete Gerome and Jennie Elizabeth Lail Earp on Wednesday, February 25, 1925 in Alexander County. Lillian was a member of East Taylorsville Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and attending grand children's and great-granchildren's sports and activities. She was also an avid UNC Tarheels and St. Louis Cardinals fan.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Atwell G. Queen, five sisters Alma Milstead, Margie Deal, Amelia Hollifield, Pauline Murdock, and Doris Jenkins, two brothers Clete Earp Jr, and James Wilson Earp, and a daughter in-law Daphne Queen.

She leaves to cherish her memory one son Jackie Queen and wife Cathy of Conover, one daughter Amy Queen of Taylorsville, five granchildren Dustin Queen and wife Jennifer, Derek Queen of Taylorsville, Deidre Kenworthy and husband Doug, Ashleigh Richey and husband Kyle, Whitney Reese and husband Josh all of Bethlehem, eight great grandchildren Wade, Haley, Eli, Jaidyn, Kaleigh Queen of Taylorsville, Lilly Richey, and Carson and Lane Reese of Bethlehem, two brothers Billy Earp and wife Lucille of Bethlehem, Dean Earp and wife Mary of Taylorsville, and a number of nieces and nephews. Also, her constant companion and faithful friend, her beloved dog Penny.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 2:30-4:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. The Funeral Service will begin at 4:00 pm also at in the chapel with the burial following Taylorsville City Cemetery. The Rev. Gary W. Jennings will be officiating.
