Lillie Mae St. Clair Loudermelk, age 79, of Taylorsville took her journey home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Valley Nursing Center. She was born on November 2, 1939 in Alexander County, the daughter of the late Lloyd Perminous and Agie Mae Wike St. Clair. During her career, Mae worked as a secretary for Piedmont Wood Products. She was a member at Rocky Face Baptist Church and loved the Lord. Mae was a special woman living a simple life, always caring and one of the most gentle and selfless people you could meet. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed working in the flowers. Mae also enjoyed playing her guitar especially with her family. She loved music especially blue grass. Mae was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a special jewel that will forever be in our hearts. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Hubby Lee, Eugene, Fred, Lawrence, & James St. Clair; and sister Linda Sue Price.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 61 years Daniel Willard Loudermelk of the home; children Randy Glenn Loudermelk, Russell Lynn Loudermelk & wife Karen, & Robin DeRae Fairchild & husband Anthony, all of Taylorsville; grandchildren Brandon, Bradley, & Brent Loudermelk, Kensley Allen & husband Austin, Shana Loudermelk, and Macy & Maddox Fairchild; along with great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Rocky Face Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with the Pastor Danny Loudermelk to officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
