Lillie Smith George, age 67, of Taylorsville, went to her heavenly home, on Thursday, January 19th, 2012.  She was born in Alexander County on August 14th, 1944 to parents Garland and Vada Icenhour Smith.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a caregiver, and took care of many others in order to better their lives. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Lillie also liked to take pictures and crotchet. She was known for her ‘world famous’ meatloaf.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Marcelene Smith Icenhour, Velma Smith Meadows, and Juanita Smith Wiles; and her brother, Arthur Smith.  Those left to cherish her memory include her 2 sons and 1 daughter: James George and wife Cindy, Sandra Jolly and husband Aaron, and Anthony George and wife Sharon – all of Taylorsville.  She also leaves behind 3 grandchildren: Tyler, Megan, and Tanner George; 2-step-grandaughters: April J. Jenkins and husband Joel, and Amanda J. Jordan and husband Will; 4 step-great-grandchildren: Morgan, Madeleline, and Kendall Jenkins, and Anna Jordan; 2 sisters: Linda Sue Shook, and Lois Mitchell; 1 sister-in-law, Shirley Smith; 2 special nephews: Little James Moore and wife Mary and their son Brennan, and Garland Ramsey; and a special niece, Shirley Kiser and husband Sammy.  Also left to cherish her memory will be her beloved pet, Skippy.  Visitation will be conducted on Saturday, January 21st, from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Calvary Baptist Church.  Service on Sunday, January 22nd, at Calvary Baptist Church at 3:00 P.M. Burial will follow in the Taylorsville City Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church's Building Fund: 5th Ave NE. Taylorsville, 28681; OR to Alexander County Hospice: 50 Lucy Echerd Ln. Taylorsville, 28681.   Alexander Funeral Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
