Lincoln “David” McGlamery, age 74, of the Bethlehem Community, passed unexpectedly at his residence, on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2015. Born in Wilkes county to the late Ted and Ellen Roberts McGlarmery, he was retired from Schneider Mills in Taylorsville, having been a supervisor. David was a member of Wayside Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded by a son, Michael McGlamery, and a sister, Betty Dyer. David is survived by his wife Jean Barnes McGlamery of the home. One daughter, Lori of Mississippi, as well as two sons, Eddy and Richard and the mother of his children, Mary McGlamery, all of Taylorsville. One step-son, Todd Barnes, also of Taylorsville. He has two grand-daughters, three great grand-daughters, one step grand-daughter and three step grandsons, and two twin step great grand-daughters. He has one sister, Enola Parsons of Wilkesboro. He has a number of nieces and nephews and a special cousin, Buck McGlamery, of Wilkesboro.
Visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 23, 2015 from 1:45-2:45 p.m. at Wayside Baptist Church, with funeral services at 3:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the Liledoun Cemetery. Rev. Sammy Kiser will officiate. Pallbearers will be Claude, Dillon, Cody and Michael Barnes, Brynnan Lackey and Tyler Price.
