Lois Evelyn Gilstrap, age 66, of the Bethlehem Community passed away at her residence on July 2, 2016. Lois was born to the late Carl and Lois Banks Thackston on December 25, 1949 in Greenville, South Carolina. Lois attended Life of Victory Church. She was an avid reader, loved family, and especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Lois was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Persson, and three brothers.
Lois is survived by one son, Robert E. Persson III of Piedmont, South Carolina, one daughter, Amber Williams & husband Brian of Taylorsville, one brother, Hubert Davis, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Alexander Funeral Service, the visitation will follow. The Rev. Gary W. Jennings will be officiating. Inurnment will follow with the family. The family requests that in addition to flowers that memorials be made to The Alexander County Senior Nutritional Program, 604 7th St. SW, Taylorsville, NC 28681
