Lois Helen Mason Goodin

Lois Mason Goodin, 97, of Statesville, passed away peacefully Monday, November 25, 2024, at Autumn Care in Statesville, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Edward Franklin Mason and Nannie Mae Woodward Mason. She was born on October 21, 1927, in Iredell County. She was the youngest of nine children. On October 18, 1947, she married Delbert Clay Goodin and they enjoyed 65 years together. Lois attended Central School. She was a homemaker and worked at Phils Food Mart for 15 years. She was a lifelong member of Damascus Baptist Church. To know Lois was to love her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Delbert, her son Bobby Goodin, grandson Jacob Goodin, five sisters and two brothers.

Lois is survived by three sons Donnie (Patty), Dean (Penny), and Tim (Donna) Goodin all of Statesville; eight grandchildren Carrie (Chris) Fulbright, Amy (Shannon) Henderson, Leslie Goodin, Stephanie (Nick) Church, Jennifer Hoag, Kirby Goodin, Matthew (Ashley) Goodin, Brandon (Katie) Goodin; 12 great-grandchildren, one sister Mary Lackey of Hiddenite, and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Damascus Baptist Church from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm. The funeral service will be Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Damascus Baptist Church at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Dale Wallace will officiate.
