Lois Warren Teague,

Lois Warren Teague, 91, of Gulf Breeze, Florida went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Formerly of Taylorsville, North Carolina, Lois was born in Alexander County on September 12, 1921, the daughter of the late Wesley David and Maggie Stafford Warren. She moved to Gulf Breeze in 1956 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gulf Breeze. She was special to all who knew her. She was no stranger to anyone. She would say, “ I’m 91 and I still drive”. Most knew her as “ Grandma”. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-nine years, JC Teague; four sisters, Lillian Deal, Valdra Patterson, Vergie Carrigan, Rutha Jean Warren; brother, Dwight Warren; two-half brothers, Willie Warren and Cletus Stafford; and grandson, Dale Warlick. Survivors include her daughters, Brona “Bunny” Teague Warlick, Margaret “Honey” Teague Wills; grandchildren, Jeffrey Furth (Susie), Cynthia Furth Booker (Scott), Barbara Furth Sims (Mal), Leah Warlick Yancy (Russell); great -grandchildren, Charles Taylor, Austin Hudson, Allen Booker, Haley Turner, Elliott Hudson, Rachel Hudson and Chandler Holden; great-great grandchildren, Ryan, Dylan, Alexis and Kirsten Hudson; sisters, Anna Mae Icenhour and Dorothy Hammer (Leroy), as well as many nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service and service will begin at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with a private burial following. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
