Mrs. Maloie Pritchard Lackey, age 84, of Hiddenite  passed away at Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylorsville, NC on December 14, 2015, following a lengthy illness. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers Velt Prichard, Rowe Prichard, Ware Prichard, Dare Pritchard, and a sister Louise Prichard.

Maloie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who always placed her family's well-being before her own. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Dayton Lackey of the home; sons Barry Lackey and wife Charlene of Taylorsville, Tim Lackey and wife Sally of Hiddenite, and one brother, Clay Prichard and wife Wanda of Hiddenite.
