Margaret Rebecca Barker

Margaret Rebecca Robinson Barker of Taylorsville age 86 passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at her home. Born on September 17, 1934 to the late Crawford Robinson and Victoria Carter Stigger in Crocketts Bluff Arkansas. As well as stepmother Blondell Ross Robinson. Margaret was a member of Love & Unity Resurrection Assembly; she loved to travel and cook. Margaret was known as Missionary Mother Barker, she was a mother to any and everybody, her words would brighten your day because she had a gift with her words.
In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her husband of twenty- six years, Floyd Barker, three sisters, Lillie Berniece Williams, Willie Stigger, Lillie Metcalf, two brothers, Percell Stigger, Melvin H. Robinson, and one grandson, Rodderick Barker, two sisters-in-law, Mary Robinson, Linda Robinson, and brother-in-law, Abel White.
Those left to cherish the memories of Margaret include three daughters, Floretha Davis (Douglas) of Gaffney, SC, Renea Patterson (John) of Fort Worth, TX, Vanessa Hunt (Anthony) of Newton, two sons, Rodney Barker (Rita) of Winston Salem, Avery Barker of Statesville, three brothers, Crawford Robinson, Jr., Joseph Robinson, George C. Robinson (Elizabeth), three sisters, Mattie White, Susie Robinson (Johnny), Flavelia Stigger, sister-in-law, Alberta Robinson, thirteen grandchildren, Terrill Coulter (Bernard), Cierra Lackey (Ivan), Monte Barker (Heather), Douglas Davis, Jr. , Jevonta Patterson, Albany Gabriel, Tianna Brown, (Marquis), DeNeika Taylor(Xavier), Jazmin Gabriel, Monique Bines, Brittany Barker, O’Bryan Barker, DeAngelo Barker, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Margaret’s body will Lie-in-State at Alexander Funeral Service on Thursday February 25th and Friday the 26th, 2021 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and Saturday the 27th from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Alexander Funeral Service.
A private service will be conducted at Love & Unity Resurrection Assembly. Burial will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery on Hwy. 90 East.
Pastor James Laura will officiate.
The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital @, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
