Margie Bowman Icard age 81, of Bethlehem went to her heavenly home on Oct. 29, 2010. Born to the late Carr and Lettie Kirby Bowman on June 5, 1929 in Alexander Co. , she was a life long member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, having joined in 1951, where she served her Lord as a faithful servant in many ways. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband of sixty years, Loyd E. Icard. She and Loyd delivered the Hickory Daily Record in Bethlehem for more than thirty-three years. Also, preceding her in death was a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Laura Bowman and a sister and brother-in-law Evelyn and Hugh Taylor.  Margie is survived by one son, Micheal E. Icard and wife Sue of Bethlehem and a daughter, Gayna Forrest and husband Dean of Montgomery, Ala. Grandchildren, Jeremy Icard, Mrs. Ashlee Pennell and husband Nathan and Geoffrey Forrest; five great grandchildren, Cole Pennell, Bella Pennell, Benjamin Icard, Abi Icard, and Ali Icard. Mrs. Icard is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. The family would also like to extend their loving gratitude to her special caregivers Dorothy Huffman, Crystal Dollarhyde, and Hospice of Caldwell Co. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Funeral Services on Sunday, October 31, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service.  Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Little and Rev. Kenneth Lambert will officiate. Pallbearers are Jeremy Icard, Benjamin Icard, Nathan Pennell, Cole Pennell, Allen Taylor, Charles Bowman, Buddy Shoup, and Doug Sigmon.  Memorial gifts may be made to Hospice of Caldwell County @ 902 Kirkwood Street NW Lenoir, 28645.  Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service in Taylorsville is serving the Icard family
