Margie Hines White,

Margie Gwen Hines White, age 87, of Taylorsville, passed away in Valley Nursing Center, on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Born, May 8, 1929, to the late Kermit Franklin and Catherine Marie Norton Hines, she was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She was retired from Broyhill Furniture Company.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Shuford Brown as well as her husband of forty two years, H.L. White. She also had one brother, Ricky Stout, and a daughter, Libby Shook to precede her.
She will be remembered for her love of family and cooking for them, as well as her flowers.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen Florence and husband William, of Taylorsville. Four sons, Ronnie, Connie, and Craig Brown, all of Taylorsville, and Kevin Brown, of Louistown, Pa. Margie has two brothers, Ben Hines and Steve Stout of Taylorsville, as well as three sisters, Lillian Pennell and Kathy Icenhour, both of Taylorsville, and Violet Brown of Conover. Mrs. White has a host of grand, great grand, and great great grand children and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Poplar Springs Baptist Church on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 3-4 p.m. with graveside services in the church cemetery at 4:00 p.m. Rev. Paul Allen Fox will officiate. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
