Marie Deal Wike,

Marie Madeline Deal Wike, age 85, of Taylorsville, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Marie was the daughter of  Bryan and Dollie Wike Deal. She was born on Tuesday, March 25, 1930 in Alexander County. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church where she served as an alter guild and Sunday School Teacher. Marie was known for her cards she was always sending out to lift people's spirits. She loved her family and friends second only to the Lord. She was employed at Carolina Glove.

In addition to her parents Marie was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Foster Wike Sr., her son Joseph Bryan Wike, two brothers; Carl & Roy Deal, and one sister Ruth Deal.

Marie leaves to cherish her memory three daughters; Michele Presnell of Taylorsville, Pamela Buchanan of Lonpoc, CA, Judith Howard and husband Gene of Santa Barbara, CA, son Glenn Foster Wike Jr. and wife Denise of Taylorsville, grandchildren; Heidi Kirk and husband James, Brian & Amy Buchanan, Scottie & Mark Presnell, Steven &  Anita Wike, great grandchildren; Sasha Lee, Cameron Blaul, Kyeran Presnell, Rhylin Presnell, brother-in-law Ed Lee Wike of Cocoa Beach, FL, sister-in-law Effie Deal, two brothers; Haskel Deal and wife Wanda, Connie Deal and wife Virginia, Carol Fox and husband Jarvis, Eloise Jolly, Rebecca Deal, and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Visitation is Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 2:00-3:00 pm at Salem Lutheran Church with the funeral service following at 3:00 pm. The Pastor Ray Ohlendorf  will be officiating with a graveside prayer by Rev. Eddie & Noah Jolly. Burial will take place in the Church Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Salem Lutheran Church Building Fund; 4005 NC Hwy 16 N; Taylorsville, NC 28681
