Marina Natividad Salas Mays

Marina Natividad Salas Mays, age 77, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House in Iredell County. She was born on Thursday, July 3, 1947, in Conejos County, Colorado. Marina was a cherished member of her family, and her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Marina was preceded in death by her parents, Otoneil and Dulcinea Salazar Salas, along with eight siblings.

She is survived by her children, Stacy Brown (Michael), Steven Gomez (Carol), Laverne Gomez, Nikki Mays-Gonzalez (Michelle), and TJ Mays (Myranda), along with her grandchildren: Mike Gomez, Grace Gomez, Emit Brown, Ava Brown, Angie Valdez, Ana Vasquez, Travis Carrol, and Adriena Sandoval. Marina also leaves behind six great-grandchildren.
