Marlene Stabe Miller,

Marlene Stabe Miller age 72 of Claremont, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Catawba Valley Regional Medical Center. She was born to the late Ruben Henry Otto and Alma Kluver Stabe in Plymouth Co, Iowa on Wednesday, December 16, 1942. Marlene was a very active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Conover. She was also table parent for Logos at St. John's. Marlene was originally from Iowa, she moved to Catawba Valley from 1962-1978 and then moved back to Iowa until 2008 when she came back to Claremont. She will be remembered as a good mother and the caregiver of her own mother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Richard "Dick" Karl Stabe and a nephew.

She is survived by one son Lee Eric Stafford and wife Deanne, one daughter Lisa Stafford Yow and husband Ronnie, two grandsons Dustin Shane Barnes all of Taylorsville, Timothy Lee Stafford of Statesville, one sister Mary Lynne Stultz of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa and 2 nieces and one nephew.

Visitation will be Friday, March 13, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Service from 6:30-8:30 pm. The funeral service is Saturday, March 14, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Conover at 2 pm with the Rev. Anton Lagoutine officiating. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Liledoun Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Gideons International PO Box 140800 Nashville, TN 37214
