Mary Lee Winkler Crisp

Mary Lee Winkler Crisp, age 70 of Lenoir, NC left her earthly home and entered peacefully into the gates of Glory on July 26, 2024. 

 She was born July 27, 1953, to the late Ernest Winkler and Fannie Lee McGee Winkler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Revonda Branch and two brothers, Clarence and Charles Winkler. 

 Left to cherish her memory, husband, Joseph Crisp of 19 years, son, Fred Cozart (Karen) of Lenoir, NC, daughter, Margie Moore (Steven) of Stony Point, NC, four grandsons; Caleb, Lucas, Brayden, and Colton Cozart, three granddaughters; Anna, Elisabeth, and Elana Moore, along with a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. 

 She had a love for her family but most importantly a lover for the Lord. Her hobby was a God given talent for crocheting and encouraging. Mary was described as a devout Christian, a servant for the Lord, and a Proverbs 31 wife, mother, grammy, nana, and friend. 

 She is a member of Beaver creek Advent Christian Church where she served the Lord by helping in nursery, Sunday School Teacher, Deaconess, Clerk, WHFM Treasurer, food committee, along with many other things, with her favorite being the “Candy Lady”. Mrs. Crisp was currently attending Lakeview Baptist Church. 

 The visitation for Mrs. Crisp will be held Tuesday July 30, 2024, at Alexander Funeral Service from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm. The funeral service will be held in the Alexander Funeral Service chapel on Tuesday July 30, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. Rev. Mark Sharpe will officiate. Thomas Branch, Christopher Branch, Dylan Auton, Landon Auton, Mike Francum, and Travis Walker will serve as pallbearers.
