Mary "Margaret" Lockee

Mary Margaret Lockee, age 88 of Taylorsville passed away at her residence on Friday May 31, 2019 after a period of declining health. She was born to the late Horace and Ula Towery. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Ed Towery. Margaret lovingly served as the personal secretary to her husband, Rev. James Lockee and attended Liledoun Baptist Church in Taylorsville, NC. She will always be remembered by her loving, infectious smile.

Those left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Lockee include her husband the Rev. DR. James R. Lockee of the home, son Charles R. Lockee of Greensboro, NC. One brother Joe David Towery, and one sister, Barbara Ann Poovey both from Maiden, NC. Along with a number of nieces and nephews.



Funeral service for Margaret will be Sunday, June 2nd, 2019 at Liledoun Baptist Church at 3:00 pm. The Rev. James Lockee and Rev. Jason Payne will be officiating. Pall Bearers include; Josh Byrd, Josh Pennell, Randy Campbell, Kyle Chapman, Jeremy Bumgarner and Mark Bumgarner. No formal visitation is planned, and a private burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory, NC.
