Mary Ellen Porch Partin

Mary Ellen Porch Partin age 85, passed away at Valley Nursing Center Friday December 10, 2021. She was born to the late John and Amanda Porch on March 6, 1936, in Alexander County. During her working career she worked at several different furniture plants, and lastly finished her career at Taylor King as a Brass nailer. Mrs. Partin was a member at Oxford Memorial Baptist Church and loved her church family. Mary enjoyed gardening, camping, canning, cooking, but most of all loved her family.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her spouse of 59 years Hubert Partin, and a son Ricky Partin.

Those left to cherish the memories of Mary Ellen include her daughter Suzy Partin, son Brent Partin and wife Becky, three grandchildren: Jennifer Trivette, Jamie Young and wife Diamond, Jessica Bowman and husband Brandon, six great grandchildren, nieces: Linda, Brenda, Claire, and Sandy, along with a number of special friends.

Visitation for Mary will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Alexander Funeral Service from 12:30 to 1:45 pm. The funeral service will follow in the Alexander Funeral Service Chapel at 2:00 pm. Rev. Neal Walker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oxford Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Brad Caldwell, Troy Higgs, Brandon Bowman, Dennis Pennell, Adam Presnell, and Justin Barringer.
