Mary Rufty Fox,

Mary Louise Rufty Fox, age 83, formerly of Taylorsville, residing in Roanoke, VA, passed away on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010.  She was born in Catawba County on July 1st, 1927 to parents James Leroy and Ida Melvine Shumacher Rufty.  She was a member of East Taylorsville Baptist Church and spent her life as a homemaker.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene William Fox; son, Steven Dale Fox; one great grand-child, Benjamin Mullins, 6 brothers, and 4 sisters.  Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Larry Eugene Fox; 3 grandchildren: Nikki Sweeny, Lori Juanita Fox, & Larry Kristin “Kris” Fox; and 9 great-grandchildren: Austin Sweeny, Stephan Tanner Fox, & Haley Andrea Fox, Alex Mullins, Ethan Sweeney, Trevor Fox, Kaitlen Fox, Skylar Fox, Anha Fox. Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 noon, with memorial services immediately following the visitation at noon,  in the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Taylorsville City Cemetery. Rev. Gary W. Jennings is officiating. Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service is serving is Fox Family.
