Mary "Pauline" Magdalene Teague

Mary Magdalene “Pauline” Teague, age 86, of Hickory went to her heavenly home on Friday, February 24, 2017 at her daughters residence. She was born on August 13, 1930 to the late Effie Lottie Bentley. In her lifetime, she had worked for Salem Furniture in Bethlehem. Mary was a member at Bethlehem Baptist Church and loved her home, family, and especially taking care of her grandchildren. Along with her mother, she is preceded in death by the father of her children: Buret Teague; son: Barney Allen Teague; and brothers: Roy, Stancel “Buck”, and James Franklin Bentley. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter: Barbara Teague Benfield; son: Harvey Teague & wife Susanne; five grandchildren: Joanna Teague Payne & husband Manuel, Mary Kathryn Benfield, Jazmine Benfield, April Benfield; and Samurel Benfield; great-grand child: Bentley Payne; and nephews: Roy, Derrell, & David Bentley.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church and the funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Wayne Caviness officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of Alexander County @ 50 Lucy Echerd Lane; Taylorsville, NC 28681.
