Michael Wayne Rose, lovingly known as "Wild Rose," was born on August 18, 1974, in Catawba, North Carolina. He departed from this world on November 19, 2024, in the very same county that held so many of his cherished memories.
Throughout his life, Michael was deeply passionate about landscaping and woodworking. His craftsmanship brought beauty to countless gardens and homes, reflecting his love for nature and creativity. He found immense joy in outdoor activities, particularly fishing, camping, and spending time in the great outdoors, nurturing a profound connection with the natural world.
Michael's pride and joy resided in his role as a father. He was immensely proud of his children, Michael Worley, Anna Guy, and Hailey Rose, and his legacy will undoubtedly live on through them. He shared a loving partnership with his fiancée, Maryann Worley, who stood by him through life’s many adventures.
He is survived by his devoted mother, Barbara Rose; beloved siblings Henrietta Decker, Alice Martin, and brother Cecil "Red" Rose Jr. Together, they hold onto cherished memories and honor his spirit in their lives.
Michael was also preceded in death by his father, Cecil Rose Sr., who he will join in eternal peace.
A memorial service to celebrate Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Alexander Funeral Service in Taylorsville, NC at 2:00 pm, with a time for remembrance and reflection on the many ways he touched the lives of those around him. Rev. Paul Schronce will officiate.
Michael Wayne Rose will be profoundly missed, but his legacy of love, craftsmanship, and devotion to family will continue to inspire all who knew him.
