Mildred I. Tally,

Mildred I. Tally, age 95, of Taylorsville, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 4th, 2011.  She was born in McKenny, Texas on February 5th, 1916 to parents George Woodrow and Addie Greene Porter.  She was a member of East Taylorsville Baptist Church and loved her church family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed feeding her birds.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L.E. Tally.  Survivors left to cherish her memory include 1 daughter: Armin Chapman and husband Richard of Taylorsville; and 1 son: Craig Tally and wife Molly of Cypress, TX.  Also, 5 grandchildren: David Chapman and wife Pam, Mike Chapman and wife Stephanie, Dan Tally and wife Julie, Brad Tally, and Peggy Frye and husband Byron; and  8 great-grandchildren: Faith Herman and husband Jeff, Katelyn Chapman, Lucas Frye, Justin Chapman, Jacob Chapman, Parker Tally, Payton Tally, and Paige Tally.  She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 7th, at East Taylorsville Baptist Church from 1:30 – 2:45 p.m.  The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. where Rev. Jamie Steele and Rev. Mark Marshall will officiate.  Burial to follow in the Taylorsville City Cemetery.  In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to East Taylorsville Baptist Church Building Fund @ Po Box 906, Taylorsville, 28681.   Alexander Funeral Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
