Millie Keener Price,

Millie Ann Keener Price, age 68, of Taylorsville passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley. She was born on August 9, 1944 to the late Yates and Pauline Sherrill Keener. She worked in the furniture industry as a sander for Hancock & Moore and Taylorsville Frame for 35 years. Mrs. Price attended Taylorsville Presbyterian Church and loved to collect anything pertaining to chickens. Including her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Gerald Price; one brother, Pete Keener and three sisters - Jewel Lockman, Dot Canipe and Jean Lackey. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Kim Price Johnson and husband Rich; one grandson, Keenan Moose; one granddaughter, Kayla Moose; a foster son, Ryan Wilson and his family, all of Taylorsville; two brothers - Nelson Chapman, of Alexandria, Arkansas and Darrell Keener, of Lincolnton, NC; two sisters - Janice Surrett and husband Russell, of Maiden, NC and Sybil Norman, of Dallas, NC; Life-long friends, Larry and Libby Branton, of Hiddenite, NC. Mrs. Price also had a number of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 17, 2012 from 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm at Alexander Funeral Service and a graveside service will follow at 4:00 pm at the Taylorsville City Cemetery.  Rev.
