Minnie Mae Pennell

Minnie Mae Pierce Pennell age 89, passed away after a short illness Wednesday August 25, 2021. She was born August 14, 1932, to the late Johnny and Viola Elizabeth Pierce.
During her working career she worked as a packer for Gulf States, she enjoyed eating with friends, playing bingo at the senior center, and fixing Sunday dinner for her family.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her spouse Floyd Dennis Pennell, two sons: Dennis Earl Pennell and David Thomas Pennell, two brothers, two sisters, and a grandson Micheal Andrew Maye.

Those left to cherish the memoires of Minnie include two daughters: Ann Pennell Maye (Kenny) and Shirley Pennell Clayborn (Randy), daughter in law Sylvia Pennell (Dennis), six grandchildren: Mark and Jamie Pennell, Denise Johnson, Melissa Mays, Tabitha Duthie, Wesley Isom, fifteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, along with a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Pennell will lie in state at Alexander Funeral Service Friday August 27, 2021, from 9 am to 5 pm. A graveside service will be held Saturday August 28, 2021, at Carson’s Chapel United Methodist Church at 10:00 am with the Rev. Andrew Sharpe officiating.
