Miriam “June” Hartman, age 85, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014, at Valley Nursing center in Taylorsville. Born to the late Robert Levi and Mariam Bickle Hubler, on June 28, 1929 in Pittsburg, PA , she was of the Plymouth Brethren faith. Mrs. Hartman was a Registered Nurse, and a most dedicated part of the volunteer staff of Hickory Cove Bible Camp for many years, serving as camp nurse. She was an inseparable companion to her husband, Paul Calvin Hartman who survives. They were married for 63 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Jerry Hartman and wife Anne, of Afton, NY and one daughter, Gale Ruth Hartman Coley and husband David of Hickory.  She has six grandchildren, Kevin Hartman and wife Sarah of Rochester, NY; Tracy Hartman, and Felix Hartman, both of Afton, NY; Nathen Becker and wife Leandra, of Hickory; Tara Annas and husband Andy of Newton; and Tiffany Peterson and husband Benjamin of Newton. Seven great grandchildren remain, Shawn and Aubrey Hartman of Rochester, NY; Hunter, Aden and Aubrey Becker, all of Hickory; and Trinity and Vashton Buff, both of Granite Falls; and Devin and Cerie Peterson both of Newton.
June has one brother, William “Bill” Hubler, of Charlotte, and two sisters, Barbara Goble and Ruth Varner of Northumberland , PA. She has several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 12:30 pm -2:00 pm and funeral services at 2:00 pm in the Alexander Funeral Service Chapel , with Bill Hubler officiating. Family will serve as pallbearers, and burial will follow in Taylorsville City Cemetery.
