Mitzi Jean Watts,

Mitzi Jean Austin Watts, age 55, of Taylorsville, passed away at Catawba Valley Medical Center on Thursday, December 24, 2015. She was the daughter of J.P. Austin Jr. and the late Clara Jean Deal Austin. Mitzi was born on September 8, 1960 in Alexander County. Mitzi attended Lebanon Baptist Church and enjoyed Sunday drives after church. She loved her church & church family with all her heart. She was known for her green thumb. Mitzi loved to watch her children play sports. In addition to her mother Mitzi was preceded in death by her grandparents Robert Partee Deal & Ona Kerley and mother and father in-law Lynn & Shirley Watts.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 27 years, Jeffery "Quince" Watts, two sons; Jonas & Chris Watts, daughter Catherine Watts all of the home, three sisters; Vickie Martin of Hickory, Crystal Price & Roxanne Mitchell both of Taylorsville, and a number of nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Visitation is 1:30-3:00 pm Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Lebanon Baptist Church with the funeral following at 3:00 pm. The Rev. Eddie Jolly & Rev. Keith Childers will be officiating. Burial will take place in the Watts-Bumgarner Cemetery. Pallbearers include; Skyler Wilkinson, Trevor Hayes, Wesley Conley, Justin Hampton, Dylan Joines, & Desmond Lackey. Honorary Pallbearers include; Tracy Mathis, Cameron Lackey, Corey Wagoner, & Frankie Wagoner.
