Molly Oday Miller, age 72, born on Saturday, September 13, 1952, in Carter County, Tennessee, to the late James and Pearl Whitehead Miller, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Iredell County. She was a beloved member of her family and community, known for her warmth, creativity, and resilience.
Molly's life was characterized by her loving spirit and nurturing nature. She took immense joy in her hobbies, which included solving puzzles and dedicating her time to sewing, particularly the intricate art of quilt-making. Each quilt she crafted was more than just a blanket; it was a labor of love that showcased her talent and passion for creating warmth and comfort.
She leaves behind a cherished family, including her sons, Carmen Rosenbaum and fiancé April, and Scott Rosenbaum, sister Betty Miller, brother Jimmy Miller, and will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Coty Rosenbaum (Brittany), Hannah Carson (Boone), Kenedy Rosenbaum, Megan, and Glenda; great-grandchildren Levi Carson, Emma Carson, Amelia Carson, Mac Godfrey, Raylynn Morales, Faithlynn, Cade, Brayden, and Layla. In addition to her immediate family, Molly is survived by a number of nieces, nephews, and special friends, who will always remember her for her kindness and compassion.
Molly was preceded in death by her parents, James and Pearl Whitehead Miller, son Jamie Rosenbaum, as well as her sisters Bea Miller Davis and Pam Miller, and her brothers Judge Miller and Eddie Miller.
A visitation will be held in her honor on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 1:45 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm, both taking place at Freedom Baptist Church, located at 126 Sulphur Springs Road, Hiddenite, NC 28636. Burial will follow in the Hiddenite Cemetery. Rev. Sam Vallini will officiate.
Molly's legacy of love and generosity will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
