Myra Reavis Smith,

Myra Reavis Smith, age 54, of Hiddenite passed away on July 3, 2011 in Gordon Hospice House of Statesville. Born, Mar. 8, 1957 to the late Cooledge Coles and Billie Sue Clanton Reavis in Iredell Co. she was a member of Rocky Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith was a radiologist for Alexander Community Hospital, until it closed and then served at Frye Regional Med. Ctr. in radiology. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a step-son, Shannon Smith.  She is survived by her husband, John Larry Smith, of the home, and a step-son, Ricky Lynn Smith, and a step-daughter, Kelly Rena Smith, both of Taylorsville. Myra has on step-grandchild, Sheyanna Rena Smith, of Taylorsville. She also leaves, one sister and brother, Melissa Reavis Davis of Statesville and Jeffery Clinton Reavis  and wife, Yvonne of Mt. Sterling,  Kentucky.  Nephews and nieces left to remember her:_Garrrett Fulbright, Ethan and Tanner Davis all of Statesville and Eric , Wes, and Brent Smith, Gary Sweet and wife June, Keith Sweet, Debbie White and husband Gene, Cindy Wallace and husband Gary, all of Hiddenite and Janet Milsaps and husband Robert of Taylorsville.  Visitation will be held at Sulfur Springs Baptist Church in Hiddenite,  on Wed. July, 6, 2011 , from 2:30-4:00 p.m. with services at 4:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Steve Parks will officiate. Pallbearers will be Brent, Wes and Eric Smith, Garrett Fulbright, Ethan and Tanner Davis. Memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House, 2347 Simonton Rd. Statesville, NC 28677. Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service in Taylorsville is serving the Smith Family.
