Myrtle Louise Lail,

Myrtle Louise Lail, age 94, of Conover, passed away at Conover Nursing & Rehab on Monday, May 16, 2016. Myrtle was born to the late John Herbert and Lola Essie Killian Lail on August 17, 1921 in Catawba County. Before Myrtle's retirement she was employed by Conover Glove as a seamstress. She was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Conover.

In addition to Myrtle's parents she was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Everett Lail and brothers: Carroll, Hubert, Clyde, Harold, & Wade Lail; sisters: Gracie Keller, Kitty Cazire, Nettie Starr, & Irene Michaels.

Myrtle leaves to cherish her memory two sons: Floyd "Bud" Lail & wife Muriel, and John Lail & wife Doris both of Conover; daughter Rebecca "Becky" Hunt of Hudson, grandchildren: Julie Carter, Angela Lail, Tammy Hubbard all of Conover, Scott Hunt of Hudson, Wendy Malizia of Clemons, & DeAnn Lail Barnes of Conover; seven great grandchildren; Christian Frank, Natalie Kirkland, Vincent Malizia, Evan Hubbard, Cameron Hunt, Cody Carter, and Tristen Hunt; one great great grandchild Aaron Kirkland, and a number of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Conover from 2:30-3:15 pm. The funeral will follow at 3:30 pm. The Rev. Scott Bollinger will be officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
