Nancy Gail Barber, age 44 of Taylorsville passed away at Avante of Wilkesboro on Monday, January 5, 2015. She was born in Caldwell County on July 2, 1970 to the late Jerry Thomas and Nancy Diane Crane Barber.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by a sister, Amanda Flynn; three uncles, Gene Barber, Odell Crane, and Bill Crane; and two aunts: Ann Brown and Sheila Crane.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are one sister: Amy Diane Barber Elder and husband Phillip; two brothers: Johnny Lee Barber and Brandon Scott Beard. Three aunts: Janie Barber, Linda Sweet, and Cherry Barber; and two uncles: Robert Brown and Lloyd Crane, along with a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 1:00 pm – 2:15 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. The funeral service will begin at 2:30 pm. Rev. Michael Barber will officiate. Burial will follow at Friendship Community Cemetery. Pallbearers are Alex Elder, Brandon Beard, Darin Miller, Johnny Barber, Phillip Elder, and Johnny Barber Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials may be made to
North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence @ 123 West Main Street, Suite 700, Durham, NC 27701.
