Nell Kerley Stafford,

Nell Rose Kerley Stafford, age 85, of Taylorsville, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011 at her residence. Born Sept. 3, 1925 in Alexander Co. to the late, Herman T. Kerley and Dico Daniels Kerley, she was an active member of Mt.HermanBaptistChurch. She retired from Clayton-Marcus and was a beautician in later life.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Stafford, one daughter, Linda Dean Stafford and a nephew, Danny Ray Carrigan.  Nell Rose is survived by one sister: Faye Carrigan, as well as one nephew, Jerry Carrigan and fiancée Jeanie Godfrey. A great niece and great nephew: Vanessa Harris and Nick Carrigan, and special friend Julia Godfrey, all of Taylorsville. Mrs. Stafford also has a number of great nieces and nephews. She will be remembered by special friends, Clydeand Mary Ellen Herman and family.  Visitation will be Monday, April 25, 2011 from 2:30-4:00 p.m. at Mt.HermanBaptistChurchwith funeral services at 4:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Paul Schronce will officiate.
