Ozabell Loudermelk McCurdy, age 87 of Taylorsville, passed away on Saturday, July 16 at FryeRegionalMedicalCenter.  She was born in AlexanderCountyon July 24, 1923 to the late Daniel Ambrose and Alice Neagle Loudermelk.  She was a retired Looper in the Textile industry for many years, as well as a homemaker.  She was a member of CalvaryBaptistChurchand also the Brushy Mountain Red Hatters.  Survivors include one daughter: Remona Jolly of Taylorsvilleand companion Tommy Keller of Hiddenite.   Two sons: Shannon Jolly and wife Delores of Bethlehem, and Phil Jolly of Taylorsville.  Two brothers:  Dee Loudermelk and wife Mae; and Talmadge Loudermelk and wife Annabell, all of Taylorsville.  Three grandchildren:  Teresa Jolly Brown and husband Barry, William Jolly and Anthony Webster, all of Taylorsville.  Great-grandchildren are Christen White, and Chelsi Jolly, both of Gastonia, Barry Brown III, and Alison Brown, both of Taylorsville.  A special friend - Joe Stewart of Claremont; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Loudermelk is preceded in death by the father of her children, William Jolly “Moat”; her husband Ike McCurdy; Four sisters: Lottie Goforth, Lois Harrington, Edna Chapman, and Thomasine Goforth “Tommie”.  A brother Ralph Loudermelk, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Elder Jolly and a grandson-in-law Terry Allison.  The family will receive friends at CalvaryBaptistChurchon Monday, July 18 from 3:00-3:45 p.m. Funeral Services will begin at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Steve Dagenhart and Rev. Allen Fox officiating.  Burial will follow at Pleasant HillBaptistCemetery.  Anthony Webster, Barry Brown, Bill Harrington, Danny Loudermelk, Troy Mays, and Bobby Jolly will serve as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be forwarded to CalvaryBaptistChurch, 5th Ave. NE, Taylorsville, NC  28681.   Arrangements entrusted to Alexander Funeral & Cremation Service.
