Pansy McAlpin Little,

God called Pansy Josephine McAlpin Little home to heaven at age 99, on November 17th, 2010 from Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville. The last surviving child of eleven children born to the late Noah and Martha Jane McAlpin on June 10, 1911 in Alexander Co, she was a member of Liledoun Baptist Church, which she dearly loved. She was an active member of the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class.  She retired from Carolina Glove in Taylorsville. In addition to her parents and siblings she was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Ross Little whom she married in 1936; and 4 children, Gary Ross Little, Donald Stason Little, Margaret Little Morgan, and Linda L. Starnes.  She is survived by three children: Rosa Lee Rhyne, Martha Little Halyburton and husband John, and Wayne Douglas Little and wife Kathy, all of Taylorsville. Ten grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 8, great- great grandchildren, and 4 great- great- great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Liledoun Baptist Church, with funeral services immediately following the visitation. Rev. James Lockee and Rev. Coy Walker will officiate. Burial will be in the Liledoun Cemetery.  Josiah Rhyne, Chris Bishop, Brian Williams, Brook Stafford, Britten Stafford, Landon Pearson, Tanner Pearson, Kyle Chapman and Brett Chapman will serve as Pallbearers.  Flower girls will be Loretta Wells, Kim Simmons, Sonya Pearson, Sherry Earp, Anita Hersman, Ashley Sherrill, and Tiffany Pearson. In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Assn., or the American Cancer Society, both in c/o P.O. Box 40, Taylorsville, NC, 28681.   Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Little.
