Paul Tipton,

Paul Tipton, age 45, of Taylorsville, passed away Monday, November 29, 2010 at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville.  Born April 5, 1965 to the late Joe Tipton and Jane Delph in Limestone, TN.  He was an employee of Hexcel Textiles in Statesville, in the textile industry.  Paul was a member of Emerald Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Tommy Tipton. He is survived by one daughter Lorie Tipton of Taylorsville; seven sisters:  Sue Noto of King George, VA; Alice Minter, Patsy Sharpe, and Mary Ray all of Taylorsville.  Nellie Lambert, and Norma Ervin both of Statesville and Pamela Wall of Cullowhee.  Three brothers:  Glen Tipton of Hiddenite, Joe Junior Tipton of N. Wilkesboro, and David Tipton of Taylorsville.   He has a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews as well as a host of friends. Visitation for Mr. Tipton will be held on Wednesday, December 1, from 6 – 8 pm.  Funeral services will be on Thursday, December 2, at 2:00pm.  Visitation and services will be held in the Chapel of Alexander Funeral and Cremation.  Rev. Jerry Chatham will be officiating.  Burial will be at Three Forks Baptist Cemetery following the funeral services. Pallbearers will be Billy, Steve and Sammy Minter, Eric Tipton, Roger Hamby and Ricky Rector.  Alexander Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements for the Tipton family.
