Paula Lynn Teague

Paula Lynn Teague of Taylorsville, NC passed on January 6, 2017.
Paula was born on July 9, 1959 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Willie Floyd Blackman and Ada Louise Webber. Paula was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in many capacities throughout her life.
She is survived in death by her loving husband Shawn Teague of Taylorsville, NC, her children Steve Barnette and wife LeeAnn of Sherrills Ford, Valerie Barnette of Jacksonville, FL, Daniel Teague, Moriah Teague, Gwynivere Teague, and Joseph Teague of Taylorsville, NC. Her siblings include Karen Busby of Atlanta, GA, Doug Blackman of Freeport, Fl, Ava Lundquist of Lake Charles, LA, and Robert Blackman of Salt Lake City, UT.
Paula fought cancer like a warrior for 10 years, but she does not feel as if she lost. She lived her life to the fullest and loved with her whole heart. The victory of her struggle was to inspire hope in those who knew her.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday January 15, 2017 at 4 pm followed by a Celebration of Life. It will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 4065 N.Center Street Hickory, NC. She asked that we celebrate her life not mourn her death and for us to wear vibrant colors rather than black. Please bring your favorite stories to share.
As vibrant as she was in life we can honor her in her death. She was an inspiring strong and graceful lady that will be remembered.
