Pauline Murphey Shealy, age 85, of Taylorsville, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015 at her residence following a seven year struggle with vascular dementia. Paul was born on Saturday, December 28, 1929 to the late James Paul and Ethel Connelly Murphy in Ridge Spring, SC. Pauline retired from the Alexander School System in 1990. She was a first grade teacher at Ellendale School for 29 years. Pauline was a faithful member of Friendship Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of the Women's Group. She traveled much with her late loving husband Haskell Shealy, but loved her home where she enjoyed her flowers and family.
In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by her granddaughter Tiffany Miglorie, sister Mary Livingston, and son in laws; Danny Jolly and Johnny Lee.
Loved ones left to cherish her memory include; her son Steve Shealy and wife Dawn, two daughters Patsy Shealy and friend Ernie Harrington, & Lynn Jolly, all of Taylorsville, seven grandchildren Cody Lee and wife Lauren, of Taylorville, Tina Annas and husband Maynard ΙΙΙ, of Granite Falls, Heath Jolly and wife Melissa, Adam Jolly and wife Kristen, Drew Jolly and wife Jen, all of Taylorsville, Heather Baldonado and husband Lee, of Charleston, SC, Olivia Shepherd and husband Oscar, of Taylorsville, Thirteen great-grandchildren Maynard ΙV, & Maci Annas, Meghan Miglorie, Garrett, Alyssa, & Lillian Jolly, Lorick & Jovie Lee, Delaney, Rory, & Camden Baldonado, Gabriel & Ian Shepherd, special friends Linda B., Mary Faye C., Heidi D., Mary I. & Linda T. and a host of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at Friendship Lutheran Church on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 1:00 pm. The Rev. Carol Yeager and Rev. Greg Yeager will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with visitation following the burial in the Family Living Center. The family requests that in addition to flowers memorials be made to the Friendship Lutheran Church Family Life Center, 5300 Church Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681 or to the Alexander County Hospice, 50 Lucy Echerd Ln, Taylorsville, NC 28681
