Perry Eugene Sayles

Perry Eugene Sayles, age 82, of Taylorsville, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Sayles was born in Buncombe County on March 13, 1934 to the late Zeb and Exford Sayles. He was a member of the Bethlehem Church of God. He retired from Proctor Wholesale in Hickory where he was employed as a supervisor. In addition to his parents Mr. Sayles was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.
Mr. Sayles is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Lee Lail Sayles, one son, Mark Sayles, one daughter, Tammy Lynn Sayles, two grandchildren, Heidi and Hunter Sayles all of Bethlehem, one brother, Aubrey Sayles of Lecestier, NC, and a host nieces, nephews, and special friends, Larry & Linda Bolick.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. The funeral service will be Monday, September 26, 2016 at 3:00 pm Bethlehem Church of God. The Rev. Stewart Lankford and Howard Smith Sr. will be officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will include: Michael Lail, Hunter Sayles, Jeff Good, Scott Lail, Brian Smith, and Darrin Belcher.The family requests in addition to flowers that memorials be made to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Rd, Newton, NC 28658 or to Bethlehem Church of God, PO Box 6324, Bethlehem Station, Hickory, NC 28603
