Ralph Clarence Fox, age 71 passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at Caldwell Hospice "Robbins Center". Born on June 1, 1941 to the late Everette Clarence and Cecil (Pennell) Fox, he was a self-employed mechanic. As a member of Mountain Ridge Baptist Church, he had served as the cemetery chairman, a member of the building committee, an usher, and he was a founding member of the Ellendale Fire Department. Ralph was also a collector of John Deere tractors. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandfather Dempsy Pennell and Grandmother Ollie Oliver Pennell. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 49 years Linda P. Fox of the home; five brothers Howard, Lee, Wayne, and Thomas Fox, all of Bethlehem, and Earnest Fox and wife Scharlotte of Taylorsville. One sister Mary Lou Hollar of Bethlehem. He also leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews, one god-daughter Haley Fox of Taylorsville, and one god-son Kaleb Bentley of Premier, West Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 7, 2013 at Mountain Ridge Baptist Church from 1:30 -2:30 pm, with the funeral service to begin at 2:30 pm. Rev. Mark Adams, and Rev. Larry Blakeleywill officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care @ Robbins Center - 526 Pine Mountain Rd, Hudson, NC 28638.
