Randy Harrison Scott

Randy Harrison Scott, age 69, born on Thursday, March 24, 1955, in Alexander County, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, October 6, 2024. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

For over 30 years, Randy worked as a plant manager for Cemex, where he was respected for his work ethic and leadership. After retiring from that role, he continued to contribute to the community by working at K & M Tire Service, embodying his commitment to hard work and service.

Randy had an enthusiasm for racing that spanned both dirt track events and NASCAR, a hobby that brought him joy and excitement throughout his life. He also enjoyed golfing and held a deep love for being by the water, whether it was spending time at the lake or enjoying peaceful moments by the shore.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Marlene Rogers Scott, and their two sons, Andrew Scott and Tyler Scott. Randy also cherished his sister, Sandra Gayle Beam, and a number of special friends who enriched his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland Harrison Scott and Eula Mae Connolly Scott, as well as his sister, Elizabeth Ann Scott Fox.

Visitation for Randy will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 2:45 pm, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm at Three Forks Baptist Church, located at 4685 3 Forks Church Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681. Burial will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Carson Moseley and Rev. Steve Dagenhart will officiate. Dustin Hamby, Drew Smith, Brian Smith, Shane Mayberry, Rodney Walker, and Jeffrey Walker will serve as pallbearers.

Randy's legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will forever remain in the hearts and memories of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
