Raymond Joshua Jowers, age 41, of Bethlehem, passed away at his residence, on Friday evening, April 3, 2020. Born in Catawba County to Raymond B. Jowers and Patty Marie Teague Spencer, on January 29, 1979, he was a heavy equipment operator for Neil Construction Company. Known as selfless and kindhearted, he was a wonderful son and a great Dad to his children. He was founder of Low Riders Mini-Truck Club and a member at Fellowship Advent Christian Church in Bethlehem. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Raymond & Georgia Jowers and Richard McLee Teague; and cousin Brad Davis Teague.
Along with his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his stepdad Tim Spencer of Taylorsville; stepmother Jennifer Jowers of Claremont; wife Wendy Sanders Jowers; two daughters Sierra Jowers & Alexis Mayes; along with one son Ryker Jett Jowers. One sister survives Jessica Taylor & husband Rick, all of Taylorsville. His grandmother Ethel Marie Teague of Taylorsville, survives. Two special nieces remember him, Kendra Taylor of Taylorsville & Erin Mecimore of Hickory and a great niece Ellie Marie Stacey of Hickory.
Funeral services will be conducted at Fellowship Advent Christian Church in Bethlehem on Friday, April 10, 2020, at 3:00 pm with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Dave Ross will officiate. Pallbearers will be Chad Teague, Sherman Moretz, Jonathan Teague, Luke Moretz, Jeremy Jowers, & Devin Frye. Honorary Pallbearers will be “Mini Truckers” his brothers.
