Rebecca Lynn Glass,

Rebecca Lynn Glass, age 44, of Taylorsville, passed away in Baptist Hospital on Monday, July 23, 2012 following a brief illness. She was born December 17, 1967 in Mecklenburg County to Timothy Allan "Tim" Glass and Roberta Edith Dunbar "Bobbi" Glass.  She was a graduate of ACHS and Wilkes Community College and was also attending classes at CVCC, for a degree in hotel and restaurant management.  Rebecca had recently managed The Spa in Wilkesboro and had been employed by Merle Norman of Greenville, S.C.  She had pursued training as a Travel Agent.  She loved gardening and landscaping and had been an active member of the First Baptist Church and its many ministries, as well as the Destiny Music Ensemble of First Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Vilas S. and Treva J. Glass and George C. and Louise A. Dunbar.  In addition to her parents she is survived by her son Cole Gabriel Glass Nunnaley of the home; one brother, Andrew S. "Andy" Glass of Taylorsville and her step-daughter, Jessica Nunnaley of Henderson.  Rebecca is remembered by her uncles and aunts; Charles R. and Denise Glass of Wingate, Katherine A. Glass of Charlotte, David and Evelyn Dunbar of Massachusetts and Anna  L. Dunbar of Henderson, Massachusetts.  She has a number of first cousins in North Carolina, Massachusetts, Virginia and Ohio.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Rebecca will be conducted on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Taylorsville. Visitation will immediately follow the service in the sanctuary.  Rev. Tim Marsh and Rev. Marion Powell will officiate.  Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church,  P.O.
