Mrs. Rhonda Moats McAlister

Rhonda Jill Moats McAlister age 61, passed away at her home July 27, 2022, in Wilkes County. She was born to Owen C. and Betty Jackson Moats on March 17, 1961, in Anderson, SC. During her working career she worked at several different places but lastly, she enjoyed running her own Glamping business. Mrs. McAlister was very involved in her church at New Prospect Baptist Church and enjoyed Vacation Bible School there.

Those preceded in death include her father Owen Moats and father-in-law James C. McAlister.

Those left to cherish the memories of Rhonda include her husband James “Mike” McAlister of 42 years, son Timberland, mother Betty Jackson Moats, three sisters: Shelia Reid (Frank), Donna Cox (Randy), Alesia Stephens (Doug), mother-in-law Opal McAlister, sister-in-law Sandy Niosi (Mark), and a number of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

A visitation will be held Saturday July 30, 2022, at New Prospect Baptist Church in Statesville, NC from 1:30 pm to 2:45 pm. The funeral service will follow Saturday July 30, 2022, at New Prospect Baptist Church at 3:00 pm. Graveside service will be Sunday July 31, 2022, at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 3:00 pm at 2609 US-29 Anderson SC 29621. Officiating will be Rev. Josh Byrd and Rev. Mark Duncan.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to New Prospect Baptist Church at 509 Prospect Rd Statesville NC 28625
