Richard Allen Arcaro, Sr., age 77, born on Monday, September 15, 1947, in Conneaut, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home in Alexander County on Saturday, March 29, 2025. A devoted husband, father, and brother, Richard spent a meaningful life surrounded by the love of his family and treasured friends.
Richard was a beloved husband to his wife of 57 years, Karen Arcaro. Together, they created a loving household filled with warmth and laughter. Richard was deeply proud of his children, Richard Allen Arcaro, Jr. (Margo) and Pamela K. Morrison (Michael), who brought him great joy and fulfillment. Richard held a special bond with his brothers and sisters James Arcaro (Sandy), Dennis Arcaro (Lois), Sylvia Hansen (Mel), Thomas Arcaro (Ami), Anthony Arcaro (Lynn), and Phillip Arcaro (Nichole), and his cherished cats: Buttercup (deceased), Stormy, and Kitty-Kitty, who all added special joy to his life. He enjoyed the time spent with them, creating countless memories that would last a lifetime. Richard's extended family included several nieces, nephews, and relatives who carry his legacy forward.
A member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Richard's faith was an integral part of his life. He found joy in gardening, working in his yard, and cooking, activities that brought him tranquility and fulfillment.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, James Angelo Arcaro and Thelma Ruth Warren Arcaro, and his brother, Courtney Arcaro.
In honor of Richard's life, a visitation will take place on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, located at 1041 North Carolina 90, Township of Taylorsville, NC 28681. This will be followed by a Funeral Mass at the same location on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 11:00 am. Father Jose Cardenas will officiate. Interment will be at a later date. A meal will be served in the fellowship hall after mass.

Richard’s presence will be sorely missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to live on through the love he shared and the memories he created.
