Richard McLee Teague,

Richard McLee Teague, age 87, of the Bethlehem Community, passed away in Catawba Valley Med. Ct. on Tuesday evening, Feb. 17, 2015 following a brief illness. Born April 11, 1927 to Vance and Omi Teague in Alexander County, he was a veteran of WWII, serving from 1945-1948. He was an active member of Fellowship Advent Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, three brothers and one grandson, as well as a step-daughter and a son-in-law.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lail Teague of the home and three sons: Roger and wife Deb Teague , Michael Teague, both of Taylorsville, and Lynn and wife Carolyn Teague, of Bethlehem. Two, daughters, Deborah Moretz Goforth and husband Gene of Hudson, Patty Spencer and husband Tim of Bethlehem. Mr. Teague has one step-son David and wife Cathy Turner of West Jefferson. He has eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. He has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Richard had a special friend, Johnson L. Richie.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, at Fellowship Advent Christian Church at 2:00 p.m. with burial immediately following. Visitation will be following burial at the church. Military rites will be offered by D.A.V. Chapters 84 and 6.In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Fellowship Advent Christian Church 885 Icard Ridge Rd Taylorsville, NC 28681
