Rickey Lee Lackey,

Rickey Lee Lackey, age 63, of Conover, passed away at his residence after two years of declining health on Sunday, January 17, 2016. He was the son of the late Grover "Bud" Junior Lackey and Betty Jane Hartness Bunton. Mr. Lackey was born on November 2, 1952 in Catawba County. He was a member of Wayside Baptist Church. Rickey loved riding his motorcycle. He had been employed by CR Furniture. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother Butch Lackey and sister Sandra Lackey.

Mr. Lackey is survived by his loving wife Gail Cloer Lackey of the home, son Patrick Lackey, daughter Crystal Lackey both of Hickory, brother Tony Lackey & wife Barbara also of Hickory, sister Billie Summerlin & husband Robert of SC, riding buddy Frank Stevens, and a number of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 1:00-1:45 pm at Wayside Baptist Church with the memorial service following at 2:00 pm. The Rev. Sammy Kiser will be officiating. Inurnment will follow with the family at a later date. The family requests that in addition to flowers memorials be made to Wayside Baptist Church, 73 Wayside Church Rd, Taylorsville, NC 28681
