Ricky Dean Denton

Ricky Dean Denton Sr., age 66, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at The Greens at Hickory in Catawba County. He was born to the late Grover Cleveland Denton and Francis Boatwright Denton on Tuesday, January 13, 1959, in York County, South Carolina. Ricky was of the Christian faith and enjoyed working on cars and fishing.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Trula Putnam and Ricky Denton Jr.; sisters, Kay Smith, Shirley Pressley, and Trula Boatwright; brothers, Graham Boatwright and John Boatwright; granddaughter, Rachel Putnam.

Those left to cherish the memories of Ricky include his son, Michael Denton (Sarah Robbins), siblings, Grover Denton Jr., JoAnn Collins, and Roger Denton Sr.; grandchildren, Liam Denton, Abbigail Putnam, Cassidy Putnam, Taylor Putnam, Ricky Denton III, Lily Denton, Damion Denton, and Hailey Greene.
